| ARTISTIC APPROACH |
Several guidelines have led me through the various stages of creation which my work has experienced since the beginning of my career in 1977.
In all of my creations I have used various painting techniques, preferably acrylic and mixed techniques. Receptive to the possibilities offered by technological development, computer aided design bursts into my work in the late 80's. Moreover, my work is often structured in themes, in which I try to address the selected topic from different angles. Formally, I try to present to the public an aesthetic based on the use of bright and explosive colours, in counterpoint to the system of lines that surrounds the art form and matter, turned into carefully crafted textures and volumes.
In its diversity, my work offers the viewer the variety and complexity of the vast universe around us, manifest in the interpretation, synthesis and dynamics of its content and form. This way, I try to convey an atmosphere of joy and well-being as a palliative to the agitation of modern daily life; lead to a reflection on Nature’s immense beauty and inexhaustible wealth; and show the importance of preserving it in good condition as a precious legacy to future generations.
Conceptually, my latest visual quests revolve around the issue of gestural and random application of the technique used and the balanced organization of the work’s visual elements. My creations speak of changes, mutations and continuous evolution towards the new and the unknown, with a manifest duality and stark contrast between two seemingly opposite and contradictory forces: the abstract and the concrete.
